Back when we were first married, my husband worked for a janitorial company cleaning windows, waxing floors, and pressure washing. His favorite part about the job was that he could do all of that and listen hours of podcasts at the same time.
To this day, he still tells me that I could literally ask him to dig a hole in the front yard and he would do it without complaining as long as he gets to listen to podcasts while doing it. And, honestly, I feel like I am the same way.
Podcasts are one of my favorite ways to learn new information. They are easy to digest, they are usually regularly scheduled on the podcast platform, and I can listen to them while doing any sort of menial task.

If you’re new to listening to podcasts or if you want to start listening to some but aren’t sure when you will have time, here are a few times you can multi-task while tuning in to a podcast.
- Getting ready in the morning
- While you’re taking a shower
- At the gym or on a run/walk
- Cleaning your home
- At your desk at work (if permitted)
- On your commute to work
- Winding down at the end of the day
- While you’re cooking a meal
If you do any of these things throughout the day, you can definitely carve out time to listen to a podcast.
