Christian Affirmations for a Good Morning

In recent days I have been on a journey to live more intentionally and start my mornings embracing God’s presence and His love for me.

One of the ways I start my mornings is by reading through some Christian affirmations based on biblical truths.

Affirmations are emotional support or encouragement in the form of a positive statement.

Positive affirmations are becoming a little more prevalent in our society, being used in classrooms, the workplace, and even at home. These phrases are usually recited over and over again to help instill positive emotions in one’s mind.

My Christian Perspective on Affirmations

As a Christian, I have a different perspective on affirmations that I will attempt to flesh out in an upcoming blog post in more detail, but here is my short answer.

I believe that Christian affirmations can be a helpful way to support someone emotionally, but they DO NOT take the place of studying and meditating on Scripture or prayer. They can be another way to remind you of God’s promises and His power in your life, but they should not be the sole form of emotional and spiritual support you use on a daily basis.

Ways to Use Affirmations Throughout the Day

I feel using positive affirmations in various ways can bring a little hope into your day. Here are some ways you can use them to help you have a good morning.

  • Tape a list of affirmations to your bathroom mirror to read while you brush your teeth.
  • Add them to a reminder on your phone so you will be reminded of them throughout the day.
  • Create art that focuses on an affirmation and keep it on your desk or in your room.
  • Journal your thoughts about an affirmation.
  • Write one out on a sticky note and place it on your dashboard or steering wheel.
