I can’t even begin to tell you how much I adore thrift store shopping. I absolutely love vintage clothing. I love the style so much, but if I find an article of vintage inspired clothing that I like, it is usually pretty pricey. So, why not go to a thrift store and get actual vintage clothing for a fraction of the price?
Here are just a few items I purchased recently. I literally cannot wait to wear these clothes when I go back to school in the spring!
Floral Pleated Skirt
I never used to like pleated skirts because I went to a private Christian school my whole life and out uniform was a white polo and a navy pleated skirt – not flattering. But the thing that I loved most about this skirt when I first saw it was the pattern. I love floral patterns as you will see in most of the other pieces of clothing. The colors are so versatile, too. The background color is dark enough to wear during the fall and winter and the flowers are bright enough to wear during the spring and summer!
Emerald Green A-line Skirt
A-line skirts are flattering for any body type. This one has an elastic waist band, too, which is totally awesome. Plus, just look at that color! Isn’t it gorgeous?
Empire Waist Maxi Dress
This dress. I can’t even. It’s perfect on so many levels. 1) It’s a maxi dress, 2) it’s retro inspired, 3) it’s really comfortable, 4) it has POCKETS! And I love the gold button details on the shoulder.
Camel Colored A-line skirt
Like I said before, A-line skirts are flattering on any figure, so why not get one in every color? This skirt is complete with belt loops and pockets. I am really excited to wear this one with a cream colored button up blouse, a skinny tan belt, and my lace cutout oxfords.
Black Button Down Floral Dress
This dress is just so cute. It’s covered with a tiny off-white floral print. It buttons all the way down, but it’s not uncomfortable. The scalloped v-neck neckline is just a little added bonus.
Sleeveless Floral Printed Dress
This is my absolute favorite dress out of this whole collection of item. It’s so comfortable and it has an adorable pattern. I love the scoop neck and I like that it doesn’t have spaghetti straps. And, did I mention it has pockets?
Blue and Cream Floral Dress
This dress is going to be perfect for spring. It’s light and flowy, and the colors are cool and vibrant. And just in case you didn’t see the trend earlier, it has pockets too! I don’t know…I just have a thing for dresses with pockets.
I can’t wait to show you all how I style these pieces for classes and church services in the spring! It will be a couple months before I can do that, though, because it is so cold outside!
