Walk in Wisdom Ladies Conference

Last month I had the privilege of attending my first West Coast Baptist Ladies Conference at Lancaster Baptist Church. I was very pleased to find out that the fee for the Conference was already covered in the activity fee I paid for school or else I would not have been able yo go, because we all known that college students are poor all the time. Honestly, it was an amazing conference and I can’t wait until next year’s retreat.

This conference was centered on gaining godly wisdom. All of the decor was gorgeous; the food was very appetizing; the skits, videos, and games were hilarious; the music was incredible; and the sessions were absolutely amazing. There wasn’t one session I attended that I didn’t walk away completely convicted yet extremely encouraged and uplifted. We had several combined sessions over the course of the conference and we had the option to choose the split sessions we wanted to attend. There were so many to choose from, I had such a difficult time deciding on which ones I wanted to hear. I finally chose “We’re All Insecure” taught by Danielle Mordh, “Developing Godly Relationships”, taught by April Goetsch, and ” Dealing with Difficult People” taught by Nicole Christoson. I’m sure all of the other sessions were just as amazing and helpful, but sadly I couldn’t go to all of them.

The combined sessions were taught each night and morning by several speakers – the head pastor’s wife Terrie Chappell, Mrs. Trish McCoy, Mrs. Penny Gibbs, and Mrs. April Goetsch. They all taught on various subjects such as how to handle emotions, practical tips for gaining wisdom, and establishing good motives.

Each guest was given a gift bag with some treats that fit with the theme, a notebook and pen, a copy of Pastor Chappell’s devotional book A Word to the Wise, and a few other goodies. I still use the notebook and I love the daily devotional book. I’m so happy we were given copies.

I learned so much from the conference and I am hoping my mom can come out next year to join me. I know it’s a little far away, but it’s totally worth it!

I have also added a special bonus for all of you who didn’t go to the conference. You can find the audio for all the main sessions and more info about next year’s conference “When God Writes Your Story” right here!
